Read full article: Given An Opportunity: Hollas, Parker excited about TAPPS laying out plan for the FallWith the TAPPS announcement of new start dates for its fall and winter sports on Friday, The Woodlands Christian Academy athletic director and his coaching staff's have a plan in place. "I think first and foremost it's good because it means we're having [a season]," Hollas said about the announcement. Hollas penned a letter to TAPPS officials recommending they start the season October 2, which is pretty much what TAPPS is going to do. Despite not getting a full 10-game regular season, Hollas said at least they are getting "an opportunity to play football". "They are still going to get an opportunity to be all-state and all-district and compete for a championship," Hollas said.

Ellie Catron won her third-straight individual title and Lindsay Worthington took fourth. Fern Shirley was sixth, Isabella Krantzke was 16th and Ellie Johnson rounded out the top five for the Warriors. Ben Shearer finished first overall on the boys' side, demolishing the competition. Can the Warriors keep the tradition going as they move up to Class 5A TAPPS competition?

The year prior to LaStrap arriving, the Warriors had made the TAPPS Final Four but fell in the state semifinals. As LaStrap walked off the court one last time in February, he did so with a legacy cemented threestraight TAPPS Final Fours, three-straight title games and two state championships.
