HOUSTON – Dish Society customers in Katy can look forward to expanded seating after its Cinco Ranch location moves to a new space less than 500 feet away. In a news release, the original location, opened in 2015 acquired the space formerly occupied by “The Blue Fish” will have more patio space and greenery with families in mind so parents can enjoy the outdoors while their kids play. The space expanded from 2,600 square feet to 4,100 square feet, with the capacity to seat 100 patrons indoors, 20 at the expanded bar, and 80 outside at the patio, which will be open year-round equipped with heaters and fans. Hours and service will remain the same, including to-go orders and curbside pickup, the release said. HOUSTON – Senior Nicole Lennon brings fire, energy, and leadership to the Rice Owls. “What I really appreciate about her is that she really knows how to celebrate the game,” said head coach Genny Volpe. HOUSTON – Four teens were injured Saturday when a vehicle flipped in Cinco Ranch. The crash was reported about 8 p.m. near the intersection of Commercial Center and Cinco Ranch boulevards. According to a tweet from Fort Bend County deputies, the teen driver lost control of the vehicle. Video of the scene showed the vehicle on its side after hitting a light pole. Deputies said two of the teens were flown to the hospital and two others were taken by ambulance.

That’s what happened to Ms. Davis, who didn’t want her full identity revealed, Sunday at 9:30 p.m. the Westpark Tollway and Grand Parkway interchange in Fort Bend County near Cinco Ranch. “It frightened him, He was crying, he was hysterical.”After stopping her vehicle, Davis and her husband grabbed the little boy and placed him inside their vehicle -- even as other cars continued to drive by at normal speeds. Davis said she is thankful she was there to help and thankful he was reunited with his mother. “Because I didn’t sleep because I was like, ‘What if they just dropped this kid off?’ I was thinking some of everything.”CPS was called to the ER where the boy was determined to be in good health. CPS released the child to the mother pending its open investigation for neglectful supervision.

An experienced senior group is back, headed by Addison Stevenson, who finished ninth overall with a time of 18:06.58. If Tompkins can push a few more girls into the Top 30 spots, they could contend for a higher team finish. The team finished 13th overall at last year's state meet but do return some experience. OTHERS TO WATCH: Huffman FalconsHuffman finished ninth overall at the UIL State Cross Country meet last year. They do lose two senior runners but return three more harriers with experience.

The Union Kitchens latest spot is now serving guests in Katy. A soft opening was held on June 16 for the new restaurant in the Cinco Ranch community. The restaurant will follow its regular operating hours and offer its full menu beginning on Tuesday, June 23.
