A Texas grass fire that spread into trees near an apartment complex and condominiums has forced hundreds of residents from their homes but caused no major injuries.

Two suspects are now behind bars after police say they followed a man from the bank, broke into his vehicle and stole his money.

Carl Abseck fondly remembers growing up in Bridgeport, a small, quiet town in north Texas. As a young kid, he excitedly awaited game days for the local high school football team. Abseck could buy a ribbon for a quarter at his elementary school and wear it to Friday night games.

Austin - A couple of months ago Cedar Park football played a state championship, now it's the ladies turn. The Cedar Park girls basketball team is one game away from winning a state championship. This is the first time in school history the girls basketball team has made it to the state championship game. Cedar Park is feeling confident after defeating a very talented Beaumont United team in the State Semi-Finals. Expect this game to be gritty, back and forth game game.

Seth Henigan was effective with the ball, connecting for four touchdown passes, and the defense forced four turnovers to completely shut down the Cedar Park offense. Ryan jumped out to a 10-0 lead then Cedar Park followed up with a touchdown and two-point conversion to make it 10-8. Ryan now leads Cedar Park 24-8 with 5:36 left in the second quarter. And when Cedar Hill needed the points the most, Ryan wasn't having it. That’s three turnovers for Cedar Park in the first half.

HOUSTON – A Texas teen now holds the Guinness World Records for the world’s longest legs for a female and the longest legs on a teenager. 17-year-old Maci Currin stands 6 feet, 10 inches tall, and her legs make up 60% of her total height, according to Guinness. Maci’s left leg measures 53.255 inches, while her right leg measures 52.874 inches, Guinness reported. According to Guinness, Maci wanted to go after this record title to inspire tall people everywhere to embrace their height. In the future, she hopes to go to college in the UK and achieve the record for being the world’s tallest professional model.

CEDAR PARK, Texas – A Texas woman recorded herself having a “panic attack” at an H-E-B in Cedar Park, Texas near Austin after she claims employees refused to check out her groceries as she was not wearing a mask in violation of store policy. The undated video was posted on the “public freakout” subreddit after the woman went on Facebook Live about the incident. In the video, the woman said she complained to a store manager after she said she was harassed by customers about not wearing a mask. The woman also said she has anxiety and PTSD. HOUSTON Multiple officers were shot while responding to a home in Cedar Park, Texas near Austin, according to the Cedar Park Police Deaprtment. At about 3:58 p.m., the City of Cedar Park asked residents to avoid the area near Bagdad Road between Osage and New Hope. At 4:28 p.m., the Cedar Park Police Department said that multiple officers had been shot. We are on scene of a shooting where multiple Cedar Park Police Officers have been shot while responding to a call at a home off Natalie Cove, police tweeted. Mann took out and paid back a Paycheck Protection Program loan for her U.S. House campaign. Dr. Christine Eady Mann confirmed to The Texas Tribune on Monday a KXAN report that she took out a $28,600 Paycheck Protection Program loan for her campaign. Her campaign paid the loan back last month. Mann said her campaign paid the money back, and her most recent campaign finance report verifies that on June 23 her campaign paid the bank $28,600 in an itemized disbursement labeled "Paycheck Protection Program." Disclosure: The Texas Tribune, as a nonprofit local newsroom and a small business, applied for and received a loan through the Paycheck Protection Program in the amount of $1,116,626.
