The Broncos join San Antonio Clark as the only returning UIL 28-6A members and welcome in North East ISD competition. San Antonio Johnson lost longtime head coach Ron Rittimann to Alamo Heights over the offseason, but filled the position with former San Marcos head coach and Converse Judson football alum Mark Soto. The district also includes Kai McCarty-led San Antonio Clark, Martavion Rease-led San Antonio LEE and Courtland Stephens-led San Antonio MacArthur. This team went 1-9 a year ago but don't expect them to stay at that mark for long. Other players to watch on offense include WR Ashton Garner, WR Davin Lee, OL Logan Strong, OL Timothy Sjolander, OL Landon Wood, OL Pierre Broussard and OL Trey Rodgers. Also, watch for move-in Cameron Cooper on the defensive line, he will bring a force to the line.
