Taking a big 5-0 scrimmage win against a tough Clemens team, we can expect a lot from these players. Be on the lookout for Cameron Burleson, Tomas Olivares, Devin Hammel, Dominic Pena, and Jacob Olivares.

Galena Park North Shore, the two-time Division I State Champs, vs the Division II State Champs Austin Westlake. North Shore, led by Auburn signee Demetrius Davis and Texas A&M Signee Shadrach Banks, ran into a stingy Westlake defense that kept the explosive North Shore offense in check. Westlake ends the reign of North Shore and will face Southlake Carroll in the 6A Division I State Championship game on Saturday at AT&T Stadium. The State Championship will be a House Divided, as Westlake Head Coach Todd Dodge will face his dad Riley Dodge, who helms the ship at Southlake Carroll.

Cedar Hill Escapes with OT Win Over HeathCedar Hill 27, Rockwall-Heath 24If everything could go wrong for Cedar Hill on offense, it pretty much did. Cedar Hill had three opportunities in the fourth quarter with the game tied at 21 to end it in regulation. With the win, Cedar Hill is in the semifinals and will play Denton Guyer in at 1 p.m. Saturday at McKinney ISD Stadium.

Parish, the defending state champion, jumped out to a 14-0 halftime lead and looked all the part of the No. Southwest Christian is on a five-game win streak and in the semifinals after just getting past is district rival in Fort Worth Christian last week. Dallas Christian is on a tear this year, just rolling through every opponent it has played. No team has scored more than 16 points on Dallas Christian this year, and it's "closest" win this year was last week by 28 points.

Judson, Brandeis and Clark remain undefeated in 6A having taken on stiff competition. Reagan and Johnson have only lost to Judson and Steele, proving our top 6 to be TOUGH and keeping those ranking spots still in tact. Clark and Brandeis will face off Wed. December 9, in what we expect to be a great matchup! New Braunfels Canyon proves to be a tough contender this year as well having played some tough 6A teams already, and only dropping to Champion by 4.

Having played new local district opponents Antonian and Central Catholic many times in the recent years, SACS knows the hard work and dedication it is going to take to earn another shot at the playoffs this year. Led by Head Coach - John Valenzuela, San Antonio's second most winningest coach, the Lions are under great leadership. Coach Val will be looking to his leaders for a great season and having only lost one senior from last year's roster, the Lions will standout with Eli Pritz, Noah Cyrus, James Galloway, Will McGilvray and Dean Umstead.

On the year, Timber Creek is averaging 31 points a game but has only scored 40 points in the last two games. On the year, Eaton is averaging 33 points per game and 38.2 points per game during district play. Because of this pandemic-caused overlap in schedules, there's a lot to unpack from this past week, but here are five of the most keen observations. TAPPS Playoffs Will Be FunParish Episcopal won a very entertaining state title rematch with Plano John Paul II a couple weeks ago. This past week, Fort Worth Nolan took down Parish in a 1-vs-2 matchup, scoring 31 unanswered points. Well it did Friday night against a state-ranked team, which should serve notice of what to expect come playoff time.

After losing said receiver and three others, the question was how Locke would fair with an entirely new receiving corps. Locke only passed for 424 yards accounted for five total touchdowns on night against Denton Braswell. In 15 games last year, Locke averaged nearly 300 yards a game and 3.5 touchdowns. Friday's game was just more of the same from Locke, who could be the best junior quarterback in the area.

At Katy High School, the Tigers have a storied history with seven state championships. Katy reached the 6A title game in 2013 and again in 2014 but both ended with emotional losses to Cedar Hill. The Tigers have the talent again to make another run, and KPRC Channel 2 Sports Director Randy McIlvoy has more on the Tigers as they opened workouts Monday.
