Angie’s Pizza prepares to open permanent Heights home

The wood-fired pizzeria is listed as coming soon at 1002 W. 11th St.

Houston Heights, Houston, Texas – HOUSTON – A Houston pizza pop-up is preparing to put down permanent roots in the Heights.

Angie’s Pizza is coming soon to 1002 W. 11th St., according to the restaurant’s website. The project will bring chef Angelo Emiliani’s wood-fired pies to a full-service location after years of pop-ups.

The restaurant says it plans to serve wood-fired pizza made with locally sourced meats, cheeses and produce. Its website also promises cocktails and a dog-friendly patio. The Houston Chronicle reported June 25 that the menu is expected to expand beyond pizza with appetizers and pasta, including polenta fries and wood-fired cannelloni.

The space is a renovated 1950s building. State project records list the restaurant build-out at 4,742 square feet.

An exact opening date was not listed on the restaurant’s website as of July 16. Diners can follow Angie’s Pizza online for updates.
