And Houston Life reporter Lauren Kelly went inside Southwest Surplus, a resale shop full of high-quality hotel furniture and decor items at discount prices.

"We've been in business for about 20 years, a little less than that, and we've been liquidating hotels all over the country, four- and five-stars hotels," said Kim Hundl, digital marketing manager at Southwest Surplus, who gave Lauren a tour of the warehouse and showed her great statement pieces like ottomans, side tables, floor lamps and chairs.
"These would be items you would see in a lobby or a common area, but we've got stacks and stacks of chairs," said Hundl, who mentioned other things you can find at the store, including exercise equipment, small appliances and so much more.
"We have dressers, tables, side tables, desk, desk chairs, lamps, you name it," said Hundl.
Their furniture comes from name-brand hotels like Marriott, Westin, Wyndham and Hyatt.
The company is changing its business model, and they need to clear everything out of their warehouse, so act fast.
"We're trying to liquidate everything in this warehouse to make more room for high-end pieces," Hundl said.
